Description

The Community Development Officer will be a pivotal link between our foundation and the rural communities of Balochistan. This role is designed for a dedicated professional who can navigate complex social landscapes to implement our core initiatives—ranging from water management to fundamental rights advocacy. You will be responsible for ensuring that our projects are not just delivered, but are integrated and sustained by the local population.

Responsibilities
  • Field Assessment: Conduct on-ground surveys to identify the most urgent needs in water, health, and education within assigned districts.

  • Project Oversight: Supervise the installation of solar-powered water systems and the distribution of educational resources to ensure they meet professional standards.

  • Community Mobilization: Organize village-level meetings to educate residents on their fundamental rights and the importance of ecological conservation (Green Balochistan).

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for local elders and government representatives to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Reporting: Document project milestones and financial expenditures with 100% transparency for donor review.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Public Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working in the NGO sector, specifically in rural or underserved areas.

  • Skills: * Fluency in Urdu and local regional languages (Balochi, Pashto, or Brahui) is essential.

    • Strong crisis management and conflict resolution abilities.

    • Proficiency in data collection and report writing.

  • Values: A deep-seated commitment to ethical advocacy and long-term community empowerment.
